Easy
We may be walking on some uneven terrain with gentle slopes and the trails are clearly marked and free of obstacles. Walks and hikes are interspaced with sightseeing and could be up to 4-6 km (3-4 mi), with up to 200-400m (600-1200') in elevation gain. There is plenty of time to stop for pictures or take a break.
Moderate
Only basic skills are required, and a “naturally fit and healthy” or sporadic exerciser, with no health complications, should be able to handle this fitness level. Some experience with carrying a light backpack or fanny pack for up to six hours useful, but we will not be attempting anything technical. There may be a variation between flat terrain and some longer steep slopes. Our walks may be up to 6-8 km (4-5 mi), with up to 500-760 m (1500-2200’) in elevation gain. Kayaking requires an average level of upper body strength and the ability to paddle from between 4 - 6 hours a day.
